Transportation Product Manager

The Transportation Product Manager brings industry and product management expertise along with the “voice of the customer” to ensure that U.S. Bank Freight Payment has the best transportation solutions in the global market. This professional is responsible for transportation market intelligence, product planning, and delivery of product features. He or she works closely with product development and operations to facilitate execution of the global product business strategy.
This role is responsible for delivering processing, payment and finance solutions for customers in the transportation and supply chain space. The position has responsibilities as a partner to our customer-facing teams as well as for developing and delivering solution software.


  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of product management experience with shared responsibility for a business software or service solution.
  • Marketing and marketing research skills, include direct customer engagement
  • Experience in solution design for payments industry
  • Strong product management, design and development skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Pragmatic Marketing Certified
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Industry experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain
  • Experience working with multi-national customers and teams
  • Project management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of competitive market, operations and various products and services within assigned area
  • Strong financial and competitive analysis and PC skills

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide product expertise and thought leadership to cross-functional team to include customer service, operations and product development teams.
  • Create and maintain the customer-driven product portfolio roadmap, using a data-driven approach.
  • Create and maintain technical product assessment and feature capabilities matrix.
  • Perform competitive analysis and market research of competing products and services to identify customer needs and trends.
  • Maintain a status dashboard for all transportation product projects.
  • Monitor and research industry innovations.
  • Write business product requirements and use scenarios.
  • Deliver thought-leading content through industry events, publications, and trade shows.
