Senior Product Manager - Managed Rate, Small Business Product & Segment

U.S. Bank is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager for Managed Rate deposit products.  This highly visible role is responsible for the Small Business deposit managed rate portfolio.  Core responsibilities include managing all aspects of the Managed rate portfolio including fee and rate pricing, exception pricing, competitive analysis, marketing, risk management and product development activities. 
This candidate for this role must be able to perform analytics as well as collaborate with Analytical, Reporting and Pricing teams to effectively manage key aspects of the portfolio. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work with Pricing Science team to develop interest rate proposals for managed rate products
  • Define strategic objectives for the portfolio and build data driven cases for changes in select markets, products or tiers. 
  • Effectively collaborate and leverage Reporting, Analytical and Pricing science teams
  • Obtain approvals for interest rate changes in compliance with U.S. Bank interest rate policy
  • Monitor financial, customer activity and fee elements across ~50 reports from various sources
  • Evaluate market trends, legal/regulatory climate, product positioning and pricing philosophy
  • Develop business cases for new product development, product or marketing initiatives 
  • Conduct on-going monitoring and analysis to identify root cause(s) of portfolio changes
  • Investigate fee or pricing issues that deviate from plan or forecast
  • Manage calendar of executive level dashboards, Treasury and other materials preparation requiring analysis and reporting
  • Synthesize customer and portfolio story based on reporting for executive presentations and preparation of talking points for executive management
  • Manage all aspects of IOLTA and RETA accounts including communication, pricing, compliance
  • Develop expert knowledge of current technology and industry changes; identify and lead appropriate steps are taken to meet requirements; and
  • Manage products, product disclosures and vendors to ensure compliance with Risk policies   
  • Synthesize economic or other research impacting the Small Business market or existing portfolio
  • Assess impact of major issues and determines appropriate action plans for products with high profit potential for the business.   
  • Identify, drive or participate in on-going process improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with Consumer Banking team on shared initiatives
 

Qualifications

 
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Ten or more years of Product Manager or related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Comprehensive to expert knowledge of the business line and technical skills
- Excellent analytical skills, advanced excel skills
- Good working knowledge of interest rates, pricing and sensitivity analysis
- Ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources  
- Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Experience and demonstrated track record to create executive level presentations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Retains knowledge of the portfolio and historical trend analysis
- S trong ownership and accountability for all work efforts
- Self-motivated, responds with timeliness and a sense of urgency 
- Ability to manage multiple high impact, high importance requests
