Manages institutional trust account assets and investment relationships consistent with the established investment objectives and strategies of the company and/or the client.   Strong focus on managing client account retention to meet Net Portfolio growth objectives of the company.   Shared responsibility for soliciting, developing, managing, and retaining client relationships for Institutional & Corporate Trust.

 

Qualifications

 
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 10 or more years of investment experience
 
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Strong knowledge of finance, economics and general business
- Comprehensive experience managing multi-asset class portfolios
- Strong sales and relationship management/client services skills
- Ability to effectively present investment strategies to large boards/committees
- Ability to make critical decisions independently
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation/communication skills
- Conversationally Competent in Alternative Strategies
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
- Registered Municipal Advisory Experience
- Ability to communicate and deal effectively with sophisticated client finance and investment committees
- Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to non-financial-expertise board or committee members
- Gravitas; must have a professional presence that inspires client confidence
- Minimum of 10 years’ client facing investment management experience
- Master’s degree, CFA preferred
- Expertise in management of multiple asset class portfolios
- Expertise in theory and management of individual fixed income portfolios
- Deep understanding of municipal clients’ statutory and regulatory environments
- Thorough understanding of ERISA relationship responsibilities and requirements
- Expertise in asset-liability management and liability driven investing
- Expertise in advising on and developing client investment policy statements as well as analyzing and critiquing existing client investment policy statements.
- Ability to bring structure and synthesize solutions for clients in complex and highly undefined environments
- Broad understanding of current as well as historic market and economic conditions and developments
- Ability to successfully manage and grow complex book of institutional clients on an independent basis; sole team member in geographic region.
