Mortgage Tax and Esrow Spec 1

Ensures maintenance of tax records on mortgaged properties and accurate and timely payment of real estate taxes on escrow and non-escrow accounts.  Monitors the work of out-sourced tax vendors, processing all taxes from customer escrow accounts and providing assistance in resolving other tax related issues.  Processes mail, faxes, and emails pertaining to current tax bills and researches issues for customers.  Assists with special projects within the department such as review, research, and maintenance of tax records from acquisitions, new account mailings, etc.

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of tax administration experience with customer contact in a mortgage banking or real estate financing environment
- 10-key by touch
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Basic general office and clerical skills
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collect and organize information
