Financial Analyst - Events & Marketing

Job Description: The  Financial Analyst - Events & Marketing   position supports the U.S. Bank Legends of Possible recognition event and more broadly, the Event Management Team, in the form of participant data management and financial reporting.  The position reports directly into corporate marketing shared services and supports projects specific to the responsibility of the event management marketing team.  
Data/Participant Management 
  • Coordinate and manage reporting for events including participant/winner lists, internal employee information and vendor data.
  • Develop data sources and management for event reporting, building databases, managing data, validating results and provide ad hoc analysis as requested.
  • Plan, manage and test event registration sites to create a seamless registration for employees and ensuring back-end reporting is appropriate and accurate.
Event Vendor Relationship Management  
  • Co-manage and support compliance tracking related to Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) of key event travel vendors
Accounting and Budget Analysis
  • Provide analysis related to budgets, forecasting, allocation of expenses, audit requests and monthly accruals.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and analyses for a variety of financial applications including financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Identify, track and calculates expenses, charges and costs; recommends the most equitable allocation of expenses and prepares analysis of actual versus projected expenses/costs.
  • Prepare special accounting reports for management.
  • Budget management including plan forecasting, financial reconciliations, month-end close, analyzing data, summarizing findings and monthly data reporting.
  • Research and resolve problems and errors in data from financial reporting systems.
  • Coordinate monthly meetings with the finance division for all budgeting needs. 
  • Create process instructions and documentation of job functions. Coordinate with Risk & Compliance point contacts on all reviews.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Four to five years of Analyst experience.
  • Proficient computer skills including experience working with spreadsheets and databases
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Experience in financial reporting a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to build databases
