U.S. Bank is seeking an effective Technical Communications Consultant Manager with proven IT communications and resource management experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. 

  • Provides communications consulting and project management on business and technical initiatives.
  • Manages the development and delivery of documentation and online information delivery systems to meet and exceed client needs.
  • Researches and oversees implementation of technology and tools to support information management requirements.
  • Provides expert analysis and leadership to process improvement and change initiatives.
  • Oversees communications and web services projects, deliverables, and processes.
  • Meets with internal business partners to ensure projects and information delivery systems are meeting their needs.
  • Applies knowledge of regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal standards to ensure the highest level of quality in deliverables.
  • Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff by maximizing their individual contributions, professional growth, and teamwork skills.
  • Manages a small staff of employees.
  • Manages employee relations, performance, and reviews.
  • Approves employee time records, work assignments, vacations, sick pay, etc.
  • Helps to plan, develop, and control small to moderate project/product budgets (relating to estimating and resource planning).

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 1 year experience with management approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.
-At least 7 years experience with technical communication guidance, services, and support to information delivery solutions, knowledge management systems, and communication strategies.


Preferred Skills/Experience


Working experience in:
-IT quality assurance
-IT environment

-SharePoint and other Microsoft collaboration tools


Extensive experience in:

-Mainframe system environment
-IT project management
-System development life cycle
-Emerging technologies


Subject matter expert in:
-Technical writing/documentation
