.NET Web Developer

This position is for a .NET application developer within the dynamic Finance and Strategic Management department of U.S. Bank Lending Services.  In this role you will have the opportunity to work on exciting new applications that service and support the various products and projects within the group.  You will work closely with analysts and management in scoping project needs for new development that help drive the business to greater efficiency and effectiveness.  You will utilize the latest in Web Development technologies including .NET, SQL Server, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, XML and other related technologies to build custom Web and Windows applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Analysis and Design
  • Participate in requirements gathering for proposed projects
  • Present technical ideas/concepts to business line management in understandable terms
Development and Testing
  • Design, develop, test and implement software based on project requirements
  • Work with business analysts to refine application requirements and align expectations with reality
  • Drive the core goals and direction of the application environment
  • Manage application and database source code versions
  • Create deployment packages
  • Plan project schedules
  • Communicate project progress with all stakeholders of the project
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ensure design, code, and documentation comply with established policies and procedures
  • Interact with internal / external customers and vendors
Technology Research
  • Research new technology / software for use in business solutions
  • Participate in knowledge sharing of technology with peers
Production Support
  • Provide production support for existing applications/systems.


Basic Qualifications                                                                                                                                                                                          
  - Bachelor's degree in quantitative area (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or other related field)
- Eight or more years of experience as a Programmer Analyst or Systems Analyst or in area of specialization
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Technical expertise in systems development, technology, area with specialization in multiple area programs, systems and/or functions
- 6-8 years experience with client, server, and web applications, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#,  JavaScript, jQuery, CSS.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2014 / 2015
- Experience with IIS 8.5.
- Version control software experience
- Strong technical, logical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in technology for the area of specialization
- Comprehensive understanding of the data processing environment, its impact on business functions and the client’s business
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a project team
- Demonstrated project leadership skills
