Sr. Data Scientist - Forecast Modeling

Responsible for tracking and forecasting Recovery performance on charged-off accounts by implementing advanced statistical analytics capabilities, designing complex forecasting models, performing advanced business intelligence analyses and utilizing other predictive methodologies.
 
Designs and implements advanced mathematical models to improve forecasting techniques. Builds strong liaisons and collaborates with internal data analytics groups and the operation group responsible for recovery performance. Designs the management, tracking and reporting of recovery performance.
 
Assists with other high priority analysis as needed.

Qualifications

  Basic Qualifications
- Master's degree in data and technology management, or equivalent work experience
- Five to ten years of experience in data management and business intelligence in the financial services industry
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Firm grasp of statistical analysis used for forecasting models
-Use of machine learning in creating predictive and forecasting models
- Thorough knowledge of data science and management
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, willingness to work with a team
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent Technology background:
  • SQL programming, creating tables, stored procedures, functions, SSIS packages
  • SAS or R programming
  • Familiarity with Jwalk
  • Advance ability using Microsoft office applications such as excel, word, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Data warehousing, Oracle, TOAD, Netezza
  • Data mining
  • IT standards, procedures, policy
