U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Application Developer with design and development experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Our department’s portfolio consists of over a dozen applications and utilities we either develop, configure, install, and or maintain for various business line’s needs. We work daily with our business line partners to ensure we understand their needs and can fulfill their requirements. Some of our applications are vendor written and some are developed in-house. Our team’s skills range from .Net, SQL, scripting languages such as batch and Perl, to Mainframe development. This role will focus primarily on .net and client server development however there is the opportunity to expand into other avenues of development as well.

Responsibilities include:
-Assists in development, testing, implementation, and support of application systems.
-Creates and executes test transactions in line with test plans.
-Codes and tests computer programs of low complexity and scope, working with detailed program specifications and utilizing standard procedures and techniques.
-Assists technical staff to investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures.
-Writes documentation of all procedures used in the system.
-Develops detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for simple programs.

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 2 years’ experience with developing and implementing applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience

-Experience in object-oriented programming languages specifically .NET
or JAVA and relational database technologies like SQL Server or Oracle.

Basic understanding in:
-Application maintenance
-Application testing
-System testing
-Change control

Working experience in:
-System development life cycle
