U.S. Bank is seeking a
with design and development experience to contribute toward the success of our Financial Crimes Technology initiatives. Position will be in development operations group that coordinates releases, assists with problem isolation, and works to proactively enhance the operating environment. This central support group implements vendor patches across environments for a key group of applications in the bank that has been expanding significantly in Financial Crimes area. Although the applications are all vendor supplied,
Linux scripting expertise
will be required to assist in understanding execution of components along with opportunities for automation.
--Performs environment update and maintenance of highly complex, cross-functional, multi-platform, application systems.
--Designs and develops automation for deployment processes
--Manages code base across environments to ensure consistency and currency
--Leads debugging of environmental issues
--Monitors operating efficiency of existing application systems.
--Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends technical solutions.
--Demonstrates good understanding of the business needs driving the projects.

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 5 years experience with developing and implementing applications
-3 years of Unix experience
-2 years of Unix scripting languages (e.g. KornShell)
-2 years of developing/maintaining Java environments
-2 years of database experience, ideally Oracle
Working experience in:
-IT standards, procedures, policy
-System development life cycle
-Source control systems
-Code deployment and implementation
