U.S. Bank is seeking a Release Planner with environment release upgrades, planning, and implementation experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.
 
Join a diverse team of highly motivated and focused individuals dedicated to planning/coordinating and facilitating quality releases of software upgrades and new installations of software and hardware into US Bank’s production environment.
 
Responsibilities
-Plans and oversees roll-outs of new and changed service software, associated hardware, and documentation.
-Ensures production environment quality through a managed rollout of new versions within the managed infrastructure.
-Organizes and leads release readiness and post implementation reviews.
-Plans and oversees the implementation of software and related hardware to the test and acceptance environments.
-Confirms proper functional, operational, performance, and integration testing at each step of the release process.
-Ensures creation of a communications plan, roles and responsibilities, and creation of back-out and quality plans.
-Creates, maintains, and oversees utilization of  policies and procedures for configuring and rolling out new releases and associated technical and non-technical considerations. -Manages the packaging, testing, documentation, and distribution life cycle.
-Ensures releases are traceable, secure, tested, and authorized.

Qualifications

 
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- ITIL Service Management Foundation certification
- At least five years of experience with the processes, practices, disciplines and tools needed to ensure that IT services are provided as agreed between the customer and IT provider
 
Preferred Skills/Experience
Working experience in :
- MS Office with heavy focus on Excel
- SDLC – Thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
- IT audit and control
- Application delivery process
- IT quality assurance
- Computer operations
- IT governance
- Configuration management

- IT service change management
- IT industry trends and direction
