Join our Payments Services division which is the fastest growing area at U.S. Bank, contributing 30% of total revenues to the bank.  We have a Credit Analyst opening within our Corporate Payment Systems (CPS) group.  CPS offers electronic payment solutions to large and mid-sized corporations, state and federal governments and other public entities. The opportunity is a team-centric role, responsible for:
  1. LOB support for monthly forecasting and reporting of financial variances.  Person would be embedded into each LOB monthend process to provide guidance on CPS related activity, metrics and forecast.
  2. In depth analysis of customer trends, forecasts and spend patterns
  3. Expansion of the Key Client Dashboard to include all clients and monthly review of all clients on a developed “watch list”.
  4. Development of client facing analytics dashboard for RMs to share with clients.  Components would be client statistical information compared to various metrics and market trends
  5. Develop a standard process and reporting package for client revenue and profitability review.  This activity would involve the ongoing review of unprofitable accounts and decisions needed to correct.
  6. Development and support for current client based reporting such as Agent Bank referral reporting for the Mid Market and HECC reporting for the LMPS group.  This position would support the new UCal dashboard/report provided during the current RFP proposal.
  7. Development of client based dashboards that can be distributed/accessed by clients that compare their metrics to those of other clients of similar size and to our total portfolio.
  8. Client focused interchange tracking and reporting that includes merchant based information,  level 3 transactions, VPP transactions and Large Ticket transactions
  9. Competitive database
  10. Push the penetration effort
  11. Develop detail competitive intelligence on market pricing
  12. Consortium support and analysis
  13. Develop correlation of funding costs against market pricing and acceptable margins and profitability



Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Four to five years of statistical analytics experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience in Excel

- SQL/SAS for querying data and for data manipulation/transformation
- Experience in analytics, advanced analytics/statistics, predictive modeling
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
