Elavon is currently seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer, who operates within an Innovation development team through Agile/SCRUM methodology, working with Product, Program, Operations, and Technology managers to bring solutions to the market that address needs determined through feedback collected from the market. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Writes test cases according to requirements;
  • Works side-by-side with Software Developers to ensure test case coverage is complete;
  • Executes test scripts and collects results for reporting purposes;
  • Writes up defects with applicable supporting evidence of defect;
  • Actively participates in team discussions;
  • Tests web applications and mobile device applications thoroughly;
  • Participates in design workshops;
  • Tests custom and enhanced applications;
  • Researches and resolves issues;
  • Interfaces and consults with product owners, developers, and other members of the team to get his/her job done; and
  • Possesses and applies a basic understanding of client's business(es).


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field OR equivalent, relevant work experience
  • Minimum four years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • In-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance process and best practices
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Must be proactive and have experience creating and executing test cases
  • Must have experience logging bugs with supportive documentation
  • Must exhibit leadership qualities and work well with others
  • Must have experience testing either web applications and/or mobile applications on multiple device platforms
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug software
  • Must have experience with traversing through logs and have the ability to understand stack traces
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Agile (e.g. SCRUM) software development certifications and/or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with Linux OS and Linux commands
  • Code experience with scripting languages such as, but not limited to, Groovy, Ruby, Python, etc.
