Elavon’s Atlanta mobile and global product team is seeking a full-time Mobile UI/UX Developer for software product user experience (UX) design/development to help implement the next generation of global mobile payment solutions. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a strong academic background and a proven capacity for understanding new technologies to help deliver on our charter of harvesting innovation to better enable and grow small business.   • Owns and accounts for UI/UX design implementation of mobile software products and experiences developed within the Mobile Commerce Solutions cross-functional team;
  • Collaborates and teams to deliver functional, best-in-class, user-focused, competitive, and intuitive user experiences that deliver on customer and business outcomes;
  • Translates end-user requirements and goals into customer personas;
  • Delivers experience designs, UI/UX wireframes, interaction designs, and prototypes that align to the desired outcomes of customer personas;
  • Works within a cross-functional team in an Agile/SCRUM development cycle to deliver industry-leading innovations that drive commerce;
  • Cultivates own understanding of user problems and opportunities for improvement and shares insights;
  • Builds efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems; and
  • Participates in design and code reviews.


Basic Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, HCI, or technology-related field
  • At least three years of experience with developing and implementing software applications, including:
    • Two-plus years of relevant Mac/iOS/Android design and development experience (personal, internships)
    • Critical thinking with a good design sense, a strong technical background, and an eye for making things better
    • Proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals – OO development, data structures, algorithm - design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
    • Proficiency in CSS2/CSS3, HTML 5, and OS UI frameworks (jQuery, Bootstrap,  NodeJS, LESS)
    • Agile (e.g. SCRUM), iterative and Waterfall software development certifications and/or equivalent experience
    • Deep understanding of mobile interaction and wireframe design tools and processes
    • Experience using Git or other source code version control systems
    • Solid knowledge of backend server components, APIs, and performance optimization
  • Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment (USA)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Leadership, influencing, decision, problem-solving, and strategic management skills to facilitate working in a global, cross-functional team
  • Ability to work well within a diverse team and a variety of personalities
  • Limited to moderate travel – 0-15%
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in Human-Computer-Interaction/Digital Media or equivalent experience
  • Two-plus years of demonstrated global software development experience
  • Exposure or experience in mobile banking/payment industry
  • A customer-focus mindset
