Data Entry Work Coordinator

Under the direction of a manager, provides daily coordination and direction for the work of the Data Entry Department.  Performs the same functions as the data entry team, however,  also has responsibility for daily workflow and production, exception and problem resolution and checks work for accuracy and completeness.  Personally performs the most complex assignments.  Involved in solving problems of a complex nature and seeks guidance and advice from the manager only on the most complex matters.  Has a good degree of independence in making more than routine decisions.  Erroneous decisions or failure to complete assignments may result in delays to processing of applications. The position requires a solid level of knowledge of operational functions, systems, policies and procedures for the Data Entry Department. 

  1. Distributes workload, monitors production and participates in work as necessary.
  2. Coordinates with other work areas as required ensuring compliance with service standards and regulatory deadlines.
  3. Resolves exceptions and problems of a more routine nature, referring more complex problems to supervisor or manager as necessary.
  4. Prepares reports, records and performance monitoring informing management of operational activities.
  5. Provides work direction and training to staff.  Including training on additional skills and the data entry training for new hire employees.
  6. Maintains knowledge of products, services and systems in assigned area.
  7. Provides input to manager for hires, performance standards and reviews. 
  8. Provides suggestions and assists with facilitating team meetings.
  9. Reviews Quality by checking applications data entered for errors to provide feedback in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of experience in bank operational functions, systems, policies and procedures
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Thorough knowledge of computer applications and/or the equipment used in the assigned area
  • Good customer relations skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed ability to identify and resolve/escalate problems
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
