Decision Analytics Leader

This leader will drive the development of and lead the Decision Analytics team that will optimize operations here at U.S. Bank.  S/he will employ data analysis to drive decisions focused on improving operational processes and fraud prevention. 
  • Create and implement advanced analytics capabilities, perform advanced business intelligence analyses, and implement other predictive methodologies.
  • Uncover opportunities for process improvements and challenge the status quo.
  • Influence adoption of analytics and insights; turning data into decisions.  Prepare cost/benefit analyses. 
  • Take in general, high level business needs and develop advanced analytics-driven solutions that may be beyond what the requestor envisioned possible.
  • Lead the transformation from many manual, Excel-based data review processes to analytics-driven automated processes.
  • Monitor process sustainability after implementation.
  • Influence senior leaders and partners using analytics-based recommendations, creating visualizations of data/analytics as warranted.
  • Build strong partnerships with peers and internal partners.
  • Develop and deliver information for the front line teams, striking the balance between reporting too little and too much.
  • Create a strategy to improve our ability to leverage data effectively. 
  • Create a database from scratch.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience in relevant field

  • Five to ten years of experience in analytics

  • Thorough knowledge of data science and management

  • Strong problem solving skills. 

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience in advanced analytics and statistics
