I chose health care because I knew it was important. It's your grandma, it's your daughter, son, in the hospital that's reliant on these devices to get them back to health.

Elite Biomedical Solutions was started in my basement. We're now in 34,000 square feet. We have a million dollars worth of manufacturing equipment and we're up to 39 employees. Without U.S. Bank listening to us, and more importantly believing in us, there's no way you would be walking through the building you're seeing right now.

It's real important to have reliable business partners. We like to call it the ABCs.

A man works with an equipment part. A large factory space is shown. A part goes through the manufacturing process. Text, Know your ABCs, Attorney, Banker, CPA.

(SPEECH)
You have to have a good attorney, you need a reliable banker, and you need a CPA. Those are worth the time and investment to build a relationship in. It's important to find the employees that can do multiple things. They're just the right athletes on the field for you.

And you'll know who they are. They're the ones that's always asking, what else can I do?

(DESCRIPTION)
A picture frame of employees hangs on the wall. An employee works on a part. Text, Hire people who fill multiple roles.

(SPEECH)
And that's what grows a company.

Every time I come down here, there's typically a new employee with a new story, a new personality, that brings something different to the business.

Culture's everything around here. You spent so many hours working at a place-- if you don't enjoy the people you're working with or the challenge of the job, money's not going to offset that.

(DESCRIPTION)
A group of employees sit around a table and work on equipment. Text, Create a positive work environment. Be true to yourself.

(SPEECH)
My advice to a small business owner is to be true to yourself. You're not going into it to make lots of money. You're going into because you have a passion that you want to share with the world.
