I really like the freedom that we want to do projects that we want, but also like getting guidance in our careers and everything. (DESCRIPTION) Three interns stand and talk to one another. They sit around a table. Three more individuals walking near a fountain with the Gateway Arch behind them. Text, Aja, Wholesale Banking Intern. (SPEECH) After the market studies that I read, which is over hotels, they actually took me to go visit a limited service hotel, and a full-service hotel, and to learn the difference between hotels that you never actually even think about, yeah. (DESCRIPTION) Three other interns interact in an office. Aja walks alongside her manager in the office. (SPEECH) Really, it's nice as an intern to be able to learn a lot about the bank, and I really appreciate that they give us the opportunity to network with the other interns, but also to interact with other U.S. Bank professionals. Where we have an opportunity to learn what they do, and see maybe if that's something we might want to do. (DESCRIPTION) Young man participating in a teleconference. Text, Jason, Corporate finance intern. Speaking with Jason and Bailey, a Corporate Audit Services Intern. (SPEECH) Meeting all of these new people and learning so much, and taking it all in has been very, very refreshing. The people that I have met here have all been so opening and welcoming. And I really appreciate them coming, and taking like 30 minutes out of their day to grab lunch or coffee. (DESCRIPTION) Bailey talks to members of her team in an office space. (SPEECH) I've been really enjoying my internship, because I've been diving in deeper to the finance world. You know, a lot of the textbook stuff you learn in class is generic, and you get more exposure to the real industry, and that's been really interesting for me as well. I think it's really important as well that loving the people we work with. Like you said, it makes coming in to work so much easier and so much more enjoyable. If I worked in a different company with a different, sort of, culture, it wouldn't be the same experience whatsoever so I'm really glad I chose U.S. Bank for that perspective. (DESCRIPTION) The first three individuals talking. Brennan walks through his office while having a conversation. Standing at a glass water cooler and placing a slice of water melon on plate. Text, Brennan, Wealth Management and Securities Services Intern. (SPEECH) My mentor made sure that as interns, we stayed on track on the products that we were given. And what was really cool is he kind of acted as a papa bear once when other employees were trying to give us, just like, you know, any kind of little bit of work as an intern. But he was like no, these interns are here for the project, and then to give them actual projects, not just side jobs, right. He just made it feel like we're super important. (DESCRIPTION) Aime speaking with her mentor. Text, Aime, Technology and Operations Services Intern. (SPEECH) I learn at least five new things every single. You're here for a reason, but you're not here to be an expert with everything, and that's all what it's about. It's about getting experience, and learn as much as you can, soak in everything, and I think you'll get the most out of this experience.
