Change your password whenever you need to. Here's how:
Online banking
For the best online banking experience, we recommend logging in at usbank.com.
- Select Customer Service at the top of the page, then choose My Profile.
- Select Edit Login & Security, then choose Edit to the left of "Password".
- Provide your current password. Then enter a new password and re-enter it once more.
- When complete, select Submit.
U.S. Bank Mobile App
For the best mobile banking experience, we recommend logging in or downloading the U.S. Bank Mobile App.
- Open the main menu, select Security center.
- Select Update Password, then choose Change Password.
- Provide your current password. Then enter a new password and re-enter it once more.
- When complete, select Update password.
Additional information
To ensure your information is secure, these minimum requirements need to be met:
- Password is 8 - 24 characters long, with no spaces.
- Include at least one number and one upper-case letter.
- Optional special characters such as $, &, #, or +, may be included.
- The asterisk (*) cannot be used.
You may receive an error message if one of the following occurs:
- You're trying to re-use a password.
- Three identical characters or numbers are listed in a row.
- Using your username or the word "Password".
