Automated Clearing House (ACH) is an electronic network for financial transactions in the United States that processes large volumes of credit and debit transactions in batches.
When viewing your statements or transaction history, ACH means an electronic payment has been made to or from your account using your checking account information. A common example is a direct deposit setup with your employer.
When reviewing a bill, ACH means you can pay your bill electronically with your checking or savings account number and routing number. This is commonly referred to as eChecks, EFT, or autopay.
