How is text banking different from account alerts?

Text banking uses your mobile number to respond to queries. An account alert is typically set up with an email address; however, these can also be set up using a mobile number.

To help figure out the difference, here's an overview:

  • Text banking allows you to perform limited actions at any time by sending a short code to us at 872265. Responses are¬†usually short and references account-specific information.
  • Account alerts are email or text message notices to advise you when a specific action takes place on your account. These have to be set up by you before the action(s) takes place to receive the notice.
