KNOWLEDGE BASE

What is an extended overdraft fee?

An extended overdraft fee is a type of fee charged when the available balance on your checking account remains negative for seven (7) consecutive calendar days.
NOTE: A $36 fee will be charged on the eighth (8th) calendar day.

Additional Information

  • The fee is not assessed for one calendar week, giving you time to bring your account balance positive.
  • We offer a variety of overdraft protection options to prevent overdrafts from occurring.
  • This fee is meant to deter overdraft abusers, not to punish those with an occasional overdraft.
