(SPEECH) [MUSIC PLAYING] (DESCRIPTION) Text, Real Good, U.S. Bank. (SPEECH) FAITH SALIE: How did we prepare for this podcast? I purposely don't want to talk to you about it beforehand. GREG CUNNINGHAM: That's why I think the chemistry is so good. FAITH SALIE: And you sometimes share your personal challenges. GREG CUNNINGHAM: Yeah. FAITH SALIE: And I'm struck when you tell these stories. I don't hear anger. GREG CUNNINGHAM: I am but in my own way. In addition to my dad passing away very early in my life, you know, I get to first grade, and the very first day, a kid walks at me and calls me the n-word. And then going to high school, I get great grades, but the counselor, he says, are you sure you want to go to college? You know what I mean? These are the things that happen that it really sort of shapes how you think about your life. FAITH SALIE: Yeah. GREG CUNNINGHAM: So I give my mom all the credit because she wanted us to not be hateful, but we should expect the best of people. And we should give the best of ourselves to people. FAITH SALIE: She did good. GREG CUNNINGHAM: She did all right. She did all right. We all just have to lean into it in a way that is incredibly brave and honest and not be afraid to make a mistake. FAITH SALIE: Invite people in. GREG CUNNINGHAM: Yeah. We all have value in this. (DESCRIPTION) Text, catch Season 4 of Real Good, U.S. bank dot com slash real good. (SPEECH) [AUDIO LOGO]
