Multi-Family Housing

U.S. Bank offers programs to assist communities in the construction, rehabilitation and acquisition of rental housing for low- and moderate-income individuals and families.

The Community Lending Division, specializing in multi-family housing, was created to combine our real estate expertise with our experience in the field of affordable rental housing to address the needs of disadvantaged communities as well as individuals in need of affordable housing.

Our lending programs are intended for multi-family rental, senior rental, single rental occupancies, tax-credit developments, tax-exempt bond financing, projects assisted by tax-increment financing, special-needs housing, affordable single-family-for-sale and attached-for-sale, mixed-income projects, mixed-use projects and commercial redevelopment projects.

Permanent loans may be combined with construction loans to simplify the financing process. We can also provide equity through the purchase of low-income housing tax credits. As a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB), we offer their Community Investment Lending Program with thirty-year fixed rates and Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grants for qualified projects.

For more information, we invite developers, non-profit housing organizations, government housing agencies and municipality housing agencies with experience in affordable housing development to contact the nearest Community Lending multi-family housing contact.
