U.S. Bank has partnered with Visa® to offer Verified by Visa®, a free service that provides you with an added layer of protection when using your U.S. Bank Credit or Check Card to shop online.

  • Approve each purchase you make with your own secret Password.
  • It’s easy to use, totally secure and completely free!
  • Enjoy added safety when you use your card to shop online at participating merchants.
  • Register one or more of your U.S. Bank Credit or Check Cards.
  • Shop online at participating merchants and submit your order.
  • After you’ve entered the card number, you’ll be asked to enter your secret Password to verify that it’s really you using the card.
  • Your receipts are automatically filed within your account, so there’s no need to write down or print the details of each purchase.

You can enter all of your U.S. Bank Credit and Check Cards in this program during the same registration process. The same secret Password can be used for all of your cards. Remember to make sure you are the only one who knows the Password.

To ensure your continued safety, the Verified by Visa service is automatically updated with the new card information when you are re-issued a U.S. Bank Credit or Check Card. Any new cards you obtain will have to be registered in your account in order to be part of the program
Signing up is quick and easy:

1.  Register your U.S. Bank Check or Credit Cards.
2.  Shop at participating online merchants. Enter your credit or check card number at checkout, and submit your order.
3.  A window will appear for you to enter your secret Password. This tells U.S. Bank that it's really you using your U.S. Bank Visa® Credit Card or Check Card.
4.  Your transaction will be completed as usual.
