6 CANCELLATION AND STOPPING PAYMENTS

6.1.1
Canceling Payments-After your payment instructions have been transmitted, you may use Bill Pay with a PFM to cancel a payment (if, for example, a payment date or a payment amount is incorrect) if the canceling instruction is transmitted at least four (4) business days before the payment is scheduled to be made. No fee will be assessed. If your canceling request is not received at least four business days before payment is to be made, you are responsible for the payment.

6.1.2
Stopping Regular Payment-If you use the Services to make payments, YOU MAY ONLY STOP SUCH PAYMENTS AS PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT. The stop payment terms of the Deposit Agreements are inapplicable to online or telephone payments. If the payment is made electronically, you have NO RIGHT TO STOP PAYMENT. (If the payment has not yet been deducted from your account, you may be able to cancel the payment. See Section 6.1.1 above.) If the payment is made by paper check and the Bank has already paid the check, it is NOT possible to stop payment. If the payment is made by paper check and the Bank has not yet paid the check, it may be possible to stop payment. To stop payment of a paper check in this circumstance, you must call the Bank 800-US BANKS (TDD 800-685-5065). The Bank is entitled to a reasonable period to act upon any stop payment request. Please refer to your fee schedule for Stop Payment charges.

6.1.3
Stopping Automatic Recurring (Preauthorized) Payments-If it is too late to cancel an automatic recurring payment, you may stop payment by contacting the Bank at 800 US BANKS at least three (3) business days before the scheduled payment date. You must inform the Bank of the exact amount of the check, your account number, check issue date, payee name, check number, and the reason for the stop. Phone Bill Pay users will need to call Online Customer Service and provide them with the confirmation number of the payment in order to obtain the check number. The Bank is not responsible if you fail to describe the payment exactly. Please refer to your fee schedule for Stop Payment charges.
