Co-signer Encouraged:
The U.S. Bank No Fee Education Loan is based on credit history and is subject to credit approval. Borrowers with limited or no credit history must have a cosigner. Using a cosigner may enable you to qualify for a lower interest rate.

Online Applications:
In order to guarantee quick processing of your U.S. Bank supplemental student loan applications, please read the following checklist. You, or your cosigner, MUST provide us with verification of your income before your application can be fully approved.

If you are applying WITH a cosigner:
  • Complete all sections of your application, but have your cosigner complete the Credit Information section.
  • Follow all instructions for submitting the application.
  • Within seconds of clicking the "Submit for Credit Evaluation" button, you will receive a conditional credit decision.
  • Mail in separately, the Income Verification for the cosigner (a W-2 and 2 recent pay stubs, or a Federal 1040 Tax Form and 2 recent pay stubs; if the cosigner is retired please attach documentation supporting his/her income).
  • Once U.S. Bank receives all of the information listed above, as well as the school's electronic certification, the loan will be fully processed.

When sending supporting documentation, please reference the student's name and the last four digits of the student's social security number to enable us to match the documentation with the student's file. If you have any questions regarding the processing status of your loan, please contact our Customer Service Experts at (800) 233-7824.
