2009

  • U.S. Bancorp garnered high honors on Barron's list of the worlds Top 100 most respected companies. The "Most Respected Companies Survey" gathered responses from 82 investors across the country.

2008

  • The Ponemon Institute named U.S. Bank as the most trusted bank in the United States in their 2008 Privacy Trust Study for Retail Banking. It was a distinction also awarded to U.S. Bank in 2006 and 2007.
  • The November 2008 issue of Institutional Investor said U.S. Bank is, "the most cost efficient of the big banks spending less than 48 cents for every dollar in revenue, compared with a peer average of about 60 cents."
  • Bank Director has ranked U.S. Bancorp the #1 or #2 top performing bank in the country for two straight years (2007 and 2008) in their annual Bank Performance Scorecard.
