Q: What is U.S. Bank Internet Banking?
A: U.S. Bank Internet Banking is a free, Web-based service that allows U.S. Bank customers access to many of their accounts, along with the ability to carry out several kinds of financial transactions. Free account access through U.S. Bank Internet Banking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once enrolled, U.S. Bank customers also have access to Customer Service, U.S. Bank Internet Bill Pay, checking and savings accounts, credit card statements, financial calculators, tools, and much more.

Q: What are the access requirements for U.S. Bank Internet Banking?
A: To enroll in free U.S. Bank Internet Banking, you need to have the following:
  • U.S. Bank Checking or Savings Account with U. S. Bank Check Card or ATM Card OR
  • U.S. Bank Credit Card or CreditLine

    Note: To sign up for optional bill payment services in U.S. Bank Internet Banking, you must have a U.S. Bank Checking or Savings Account.

    Does your browser have Java/Java Script Enabled?
  • Go to the Tools Menu bar or View menu
  • Choose Internet Options
  • Click Advanced tab
  • Check that JIT is enabled. Java script is the default setting in the later browser versions.


    Java settings in Internet Explorer for Macintosh®

    1. On the toolbar, click Edit.
    2. In the left menu, choose Java under the Web Browser section.
    3. In the box on the right, be sure the Enable Java box has a checkmark.

    Java settings in Netscape® for Windows and Macintosh

    1. Go to the Edit Menu Toolbar.
    2. Choose Preferences.
    3. Select Advanced.
    4. Check that Java and JavaScript are enabled.

    Java Settings in AOL for Windows and Macintosh

    1. On the AOL toolbar, click My AOL, then Preferences from the pulldown menu.
    2. In the box that appears, look on the left for the Internet Properties (WWW) icon. Click on it.
    3. Choose Java from the menu on the left.
    4. Make sure the box next to Enable Java has a check mark in it.

Q: How is my personal information protected within U.S. Bank Internet Banking?
A: U.S. Bank is committed to protecting your personal information. Strict policies and procedures are in place to ensure your account information is kept confidential. Only authorized signers can access account information. Every effort is made to protect our customers from fraud. We will never initiate a request for sensitive information from you via email (ie., Social Security Number, Personal ID, Password, PIN or account number). If you receive an email that requests this type of sensitive information, you should be suspicious of it. We strongly suggest that you do not share your Personal ID, Password, PIN or account number with anyone via email.

Q: Where can I find U.S. Bank Internet Banking on the Internet?
A: Simply go to usbank.com and click on the red Internet Banking button. Once you have been routed to the Login screen, you can create a bookmark in your browser to make it easier to return for future banking sessions.

Q: What customer service offerings are available with U.S. Bank Internet Banking?
A: As a U.S. Bank Internet Banking customer, you do all of the following:
  • Open a new checking or savings account
  • Apply for a U.S. Bank Check Card
  • Upgrade your ATM Card to a Check Card
  • Sign up to view your U.S. Bank Checking or Savings Account statements online
  • Enroll in U.S. Bank Internet Bill Pay

  • Add another person to an account

Q: Can I pay my bills using U.S. Bank Internet Banking?
A: Yes. Once your U.S. Bank Internet Banking Personal ID and Password is established, you can enroll for U.S. Bank® Internet Bill Pay. With Internet Bill Pay, you can receive, review and pay all your bills online quickly and easily - anytime, anywhere. Q: What is the difference between U.S. Bank Internet Banking and U.S. Bank® Online with Quicken® or Microsoft® Money, and which option is for me?
A: U.S. Bank Internet Banking is a free banking service offered to U.S. Bank customers. Account access is provided through the U.S. Bank Web site. U.S. Bank does offer online banking through software products, such as Quicken and Microsoft Money. U.S. Bank Online with Financial Management Software does have a monthly service fee of $3.95 for online access only and $5.95 if you would like to utilize bill pay services.
