Important Information
U.S. Bank has assumed all of the deposits and purchased most of the assets of:
- California National Bank
- Pacific National Bank
- San Diego National Bank
- Park National Bank
- Citizens National Bank of Teague
- North Houston Bank
- Madisonville State Bank
- BankUSA
- Community Bank of Lemont
Your Accounts are now U.S. Bank Accounts
- Your accounts are safe!
- All your deposit accounts are covered under the FDIC Insurance program and now the prudent management of U.S. Bank.
- All accounts continue to be insured under the FDIC Insurance program. If you have existing accounts at any of these banks and U.S. Bank, and the combined totals are in excess of the FDIC limits, you will have up to six months to re-title those accounts so that they are protected under FDIC insurance.
- Now each depositor is FDIC insured to at least $250,000. FDIC Deposit Insurance temporarily increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2013. Certain accounts will have coverage above $250,000. Details can be found at usbank.com and FDIC.gov.
Accessing Your Accounts
- You have access to all of your accounts, through your normal channels – branches, ATMs and online. The accounts are now simply part of U.S. Bank.
- You can still access your accounts at each of the individual bank Web sites and through the current customer service lines at each of the nine banks.
- Your branch office is open and you should continue to bank at the same branch you always have. Currently all branch offices will be open their normal hours and staffed by the same bankers you know and trust.
- Information will be forthcoming as soon as it is available regarding when you can access your accounts at U.S. Bank branch offices, usbank.com and U.S. Bank ATMs as well.
- Please know that this can not occur until the systems of the two banks are combined which is expected to occur second quarter 2010.
- You should continue to use your current checks, debit and ATM cards and other documents to access your deposit accounts. If we choose to, or need to, replace any of these account access vehicles, you will be notified well in advance.
- The interest rate on your Certificates of Deposit (CD) will remain the same. As your CD matures, you will receive a letter, just as you always have. U.S. Bank offers a broad range of CD, savings and investment options.
- Direct deposit and automatic payments will continue as scheduled and account numbers remain the same currently.
- Loan, credit card and other credit accounts will remain the same. Payments should continue to be made as always.
